井上奈緒子は当弁護士事務所の経営者で、有限会社／株式会社を含む企業法、企業の吸収合併と共同事業、フランチャイズ申請と契約、 リース契約やビジネス関連契約書作成とその交渉、知的財産権、雇用労働法に関するアドバイスとそれにかかわる紛争解決／訴訟、一般民事訴訟を専門としています。スタートアップ・個人から世界各国に事務所・事業所を持つ国際企業、米国内の一般企業経営者をはじめ、有限会社や合名会社経営に携わる起業家や企業経営者・自営業者等、日米にかかわる法的問題解決を業務とし、解決の過程で、法的分析に加え、知識と経験に基づく実質的なアドバイスを目標としています。

現在、大手日本企業数社と在シアトル日本国総領事館を含む日本企業の顧問弁護士としても業務をしています。

主な業務の他に、家族法にかかわる問題解決や訴訟、特に家庭内暴力、法廷管轄地、ハーグ条約等の国際・移民問題に特化した離婚訴訟の業務もしています。2017年には、連邦法上困窮ガイドラインに満たない訴訟当事者に対する支援として非営利団体であるInternational Families Justice Coalition (“IFJC”) を共同創設し、2018年には、Office of Civil Legal Aid (“OCLA”)との契約に基づくIFJC に対する資金援助議案がワシントン州立法府によって可決され、その資金援助が州知事インスリー氏によって認証されました。

さらにハーグ条約や管轄権問題の専門家として米国と日本にかかわる離婚訴訟の裁判で証言することもあります。

当事務所開業以前は、シアトルの最大手弁護士事務所、K&L Gates 及びPerkins Coieに勤めた経験があります。現在は日本人向け情報ポータルサイト junglecity.com の “プロに聞こう“にて 国際商業法・雇用労働法に関するコラムを定期的に寄稿、さまざまな企業のオンラインニュースサイトにて 国際商業取引およびそれに関連する法務におけるさまざまな問題や出来事についての意見や注釈も寄稿しています。 また、2022年以降は”日米法律講座”というタイトルのYoutube Videosを日本語で公開しています。その他、米国弁護士協会やワシントン州弁護士協会主催のセミナー、日米協会主催の法律セミナーおよび個別の企業向けのセミナーの講演、法律大学での講義等もしています。さらに日米間に影響する米国法や米国法規制に基づいて日本法規制の見直しを目的とした調査をする日本弁護士や裁判官の支援もしています。
